Manicure, hmm it’s a great beauty salon treatment. Nothing can compare to the luxury of getting pampered at the hands of a professional. But, for a busy and carrier woman, manicure may be the last thing you would do coz you don’t have a lot of time to do it. Good news for you! With this next steps you can do a homemade manicure for a elegant and glamor hands.

Material and Equipment for a Homemade Manicure :
  • Warm water
  • Olive oil or lemon juice
  • Moisturizing soap or mild facial cleanser
  • Moisturizing cream
  • Nail clippers/nail scissor
  • Orange stick
  • Towel
  • Nailbrush and polish
  • Emery board
The Process
  1. Remove the old nail polish layer thoroughly. You can use a wet cotton pad with the polish remover and hold this on the nails for a few seconds. The polish will dissolves into the solution immediately.
  2. Wash your hands with warm water and moisturizing soap. You can also use mild facial scrub for rough hands. Then dry your hands with a soft towel.
  3. Try to keep your nail length mid or short and oval in shape. But, again, it’s depends how comfortable you are. Clip the nails to a length slightly longer than the one you desire. Always ensure you keep away from metal files as these can hurt your nails. For filing, begin from the outer corners to the tips. If you don’t want your nails look jagged, avoid a back and forth motion.
  4. Soak your hands in a bowl full of warm water and add 2 tbsp of olive oil to this about 10 minutes. If you don’t have it, you can use orange Juice. This would soften your hands and cuticles. Use a nailbrush for the best result cleaning.
  5. After the cleaning step, apply some cuticle cream to the cuticles. You need to massage the entire hand with moisturizing lotion in a circular motion, your blood circulation will fluent.
  6. Push back cuticles by using orange stick gently. Avoid clipping the cuticles as this might give you an infection. Use a small pair of nail scissors to clip off any hang nails. Excess cream can be wiped off with the help of the nail polish remover.
  7. This was the favorite step, choose the color! Dark colors can make your nails appear shorter but are difficult to maintain on a daily basis. If you do not have the time for touch ups then go in for lighter shades since these will match any and every outfit on a regular basis.
  8. The application of the nail polish should always begin from the center of the nail with one stroke. Use two more strokes on the side and do not use more than the required polish on the brush. Allow at least a minute for it to set and then you can begin with your second coat. Use these steps for a homemade manicure on a regular basis to have beautiful and soft hands forever.
